Private Tour Style and Customization

A private tour is fully customized to match your interests, pace, and travel style. You will not be joined by other guests. I design each tour just for you and your group, so you can explore Kyoto in a relaxed and personal way.

The tour is very flexible. Destinations, time spent at each place, transportation methods, and the number of breaks can all be adjusted. After receiving your request, I review it and discuss the details with you by email to shape the tour together.

Yes, absolutely. If this is your first time in Kyoto, if you are traveling with children, or if you prefer a slower pace, a simple request is enough. I am happy to suggest a tour plan based on your situation.

Meeting and ending locations are flexible. I can meet you at a major station, a hotel lobby, or a station near your accommodation. At the end of the tour, I will guide you to your next destination or the nearest station.

Transportation costs, meals, and entrance fees are not included in the tour price. When applicable, guests are kindly asked to cover the guide’s minimum necessary food, drink, and entrance fees during the tour.

The following questions explain each experience in more detail.

Kimono rental allows you to choose a traditional kimono and change into it at a professional rental shop before exploring the area.

I can take you to a tea ceremony venue where you can learn basic etiquette, enjoy matcha and seasonal sweets, and experience the spirit of Japanese hospitality.

Kendama is a traditional Japanese toy involving catching a ball on cups or a spike. I can bring a kendama and include time during the tour to try it outdoors. It is easy to learn and enjoyable for guests of all ages.

Some cultural experiences can be included at no extra charge, while others involve separate fees.
